Indigo Launches A New World of Executive Travel
CHICAGO, February 26, 2003 -- Business travelers will soon experience an entirely new
world of travel when Indigo launches its new corporate jet service on March 3rd with a new
fleet of customized Embraer jets.
Indigo is beginning regular and frequent service between private facilities at Chicago's
Midway Airport and Teterboro Airport (located just seven miles from Manhattan).
It is the only jet service that provides individual travelers with the advantages of
flying a business jet - security, comfort, convenience, productivity, and personal service
for the price of a full coach ticket.
"Indigo will set a new standard for the executive travel experience which will appeal
to anyone who expects a high level of personal attention, comfort and the ability to work
or relax," explains Chairman and CEO Pete Pappas. "We're eliminating the hassle
of business travel with executive service and affordable, non-stop flights between major
business centers."
Indigo's superior service benefits include:
Convenient, Private Airport Facilities - Indigo flights will arrive and depart from
private airport faculties, eliminating the long lines, early check ins and crowded noisy
terminals. In fact, passengers can arrive as little as 20 minutes before departures and
upon arrival they can be on their way within five minutes of landing, cutting as much as
two hours from round trip travel time. Travelers can continue to conduct business in
Indigo's comfortably appointed boarding lounges which feature cable TV, refreshments and
laptop data communication ports.
Spacious, New Embraer Jet Fleet - Engineered for the business traveler, the new fleet of
custom designed Embraer Business Jets function as a flying office. The cabin is configured
with 16 executive-style seats spaced to maximize the comfort and privacy of every
passenger, with each seat being in both window and aisle position. The Embraer Business
Jet has an outstanding safety record, twin Rolls-Royce engines, the latest cockpit
technology and performance capabilities.
Personalized Service - From travel planning to check-in to onboard services, Indigo's
representatives will provide personalized amenities, such as individual light fare,
premium beverages, valet luggage service and immediate baggage retrieval upon arrival.
"We're offering a model of efficiency, productivity and personalized service designed
for the business traveler. We believe that a productive hassle-free travel experience is a
compelling business proposition that will succeed in our initial routes and as we expand
to other private airport facilities near major business centers," says Bill Kostel,
Vice President of Marketing and Planning.
